About Timmy Trumpet
Timothy Jude Smith, known as Timmy Trumpet, is an Australian DJ from Sydney whose sets combine live trumpet with big room house, electro house and hardstyle. He began playing trumpet at four and toured with the Stafford Brothers before establishing his solo profile. His 2014 collaboration with Savage, Freaks, sold more than one million copies, passed 500 million streams and reached number nine on the ARIA chart. The result gave his instrumental performance concept a wide audience.
In 2017, he made his Tomorrowland mainstage debut; by 2019, the recording had become the platform's then-most-streamed YouTube set, with more than 22 million views. He later closed the Tomorrowland mainstage in both Belgium and Brazil in 2024. His festival appearances include Ultra, Creamfields, Parookaville, Electric Love, Airbeat One, Electric Daisy Carnival and Rio Music Carnival. Timmy Trumpet has also joined Jared Leto and Thirty Seconds to Mars onstage at Lollapalooza for Kings & Queens.
DJ Mag Top 100 recognition followed a steady upward trajectory from 2016, with further appearances in 2024 and 2025. Whether playing large-scale electronic events or a crossover live moment, he uses trumpet performance as a distinctive element within high-energy dance sets.
