What is MixSearch?
MixSearch is a search engine and discovery platform for DJ mixes. You can learn more about MixSearch here.
Does MixSearch host audio?
No. MixSearch does not host audio or video. We link to and, where possible, embed authorised players from third-party platforms including YouTube, Mixcloud, SoundCloud and HearThis.at.
Why are some search results missing?
We use a combination of automated technology and human curation to compile the mixes shown on MixSearch. DJ-mix titles can be deceptive or ambiguous, so uncertain results are diverted for human review before inclusion wherever possible.
What counts as a mix?
MixSearch focuses on genuine long-form mixes and sets lasting at least 30 minutes.
Can I suggest a mix?
Absolutely—and please do. Sign up for a free MixSearch account and use Suggest a Mix to submit a public source link. Your suggestion may be reviewed before it appears in public search results, and suggesting a mix does not guarantee inclusion on MixSearch. We aim to review all suggestions as soon as possible.
What should I do if a result is wrong?
Logged-in members can use the Flag result action. Flagged results can then be reviewed, corrected or hidden.
Can DJs or labels request corrections?
Yes. Contact us if a mix is wrongly attributed, duplicated, broken, misleading or otherwise needs review.
I’m a DJ—can I have a profile page on MixSearch?
MixSearch is not a conventional DJ directory. Our mission is to help listeners discover your mixes. DJ pages are created around approved mixes associated with an artist. Some prominent DJs may also have a short biography compiled by the MixSearch team.

How does MixSearch make money?
We are focusing on building something great rather than maximising revenue. MixSearch will always be free to use. The site may carry limited third-party advertising and promotions from time to time, which we aim to keep as unobtrusive as possible.
