MixSearch is built specifically for people looking for DJ mixes—not individual tracks, short clips or general music content.

An approved mix may appear in search results, on DJ and genre pages, and within discovery features across the site. Your mix remains hosted on its original platform; MixSearch helps listeners find it and, where possible, play it through the original authorised player.

What mixes can be included?

We consider genuine DJ mixes that:

• Last at least 30 minutes.
• Are publicly available online.
• Can be played through a supported source.
• Clearly identify the DJ or DJs performing the mix.
• Contain a continuous DJ performance rather than a collection of separate tracks.
• Meet MixSearch’s quality and editorial standards.

We currently consider suggestions hosted on YouTube, Mixcloud, HearThis.at and SoundCloud. Source availability and embedded playback can vary by platform.

How to suggest a mix

1. Create an account or sign in.
   You need a free MixSearch account before suggesting a mix. This helps protect the service from spam and gives us a reliable point of contact if any details need checking.
2. Open Suggest a Mix.
   Provide the original public source link and the clearest available DJ name and mix title. Additional details such as genre, event, radio show or date can help us review the suggestion accurately.
3. Submit it for review.
   We check the DJ identity, duration, format, attribution and information supplied before deciding whether the mix is suitable for inclusion on MixSearch.

Mix content guidelines

MixSearch is focused on authentic, long-form DJ performances. Content submitted for consideration should follow the standards above and avoid:

• Mixes shorter than 30 minutes.
• Individual tracks, music videos or ordinary playlists.
• Mashup packs or compilations presented as DJ mixes.
• “Inspired by”, “in the style of” or tribute mixes using another DJ’s name.
• Unauthorised reuploads with unclear ownership or attribution.
• Warm-up or support sets incorrectly presented as a headline artist’s performance.
• Recordings with excessive speech and too little continuous music.
• Broken, private, unavailable, misleading, duplicated or inaccurately labelled submissions.

Radio shows and podcasts may be accepted where they contain a substantial genuine DJ mix with limited interruption.

Already on MixSearch?

Your DJ page may already exist if MixSearch has discovered approved mixes connected with your name. DJ pages are designed around listening and discovery rather than conventional social-media profiles or promotional directories.

Help us get the details right

Use the same DJ name shown on the original source. Include every performer where the recording is a back-to-back or collaborative set, and avoid promotional wording that is not part of the genuine title.

MixSearch may standardise names, genres, dates and titles so information appears consistently across the site.

Promoting a new mix

We are developing a small number of clearly identified promotional opportunities for DJs who want to bring additional attention to an important new mix. Any promotion will remain subject to editorial quality approval and will not override the standards applied to other mixes.
