Coone — Hardstyle DJ & Label Founder

Koen Bauweraerts, who performs as Coone, is a Belgian hardstyle DJ and producer born in 1983 who started producing in 1998 at age 15 and released his first EP, Protect the Innocent, in 2002, breaking out under the pseudonym The Artist Also Known As with a remix of Blur's "Song 2" titled "Eating Donuts." He founded the label Dirty Workz in 2006, stepping into a more background role there since 2015 as the label refocused on hardstyle, and in 2014 he signed with Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records for cross-label collaborations. In 2015 he launched the monthly podcast Global Dedication and was the highest-placed hardstyle DJ on that year's DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll at number 49, having first entered the poll at number 41 in 2011. In 2018 he became the first hardstyle artist to play the Tomorrowland main stage. His anthems have soundtracked major hardstyle events including Reverze, Qlimax, The Qontinent, Defqon.1 Australia and Intents, and his catalogue includes collaborations with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Steve Aoki and Brennan Heart, spanning eight studio albums released between 2008 and 2023.
