Zomboy — Dubstep & Moombahcore DJZomboy
Joshua Mellody, born Joshua Paul Jenkins and known as Zomboy, is a British electronic artist from Penzance, Cornwall. Working across dubstep, moombahcore, drumstep and EDM, he is associated with a heavy, aggressive approach that brings together the force of dubstep and the rhythmic drive of moombahcore. His early breakthrough arrived with the 2011 EP Game Time, which held a place in the top five of Beatport's dubstep chart for more than eight weeks.
That release established a foundation for a career that later included the 2014 debut album The Outbreak and a steady run of releases. Zomboy has issued music through No Tomorrow Records and Recordings and through Never Say Die Records, the label connected to his own output. His catalogue gives his DJ identity a clear bass-focused frame: direct, high-impact electronic music shaped around dubstep and its adjacent styles.
From an early charting EP to a continuing label-led release schedule, Zomboy has maintained a defined place in the British bass-music landscape.
