Zedd — EDM & House DJZedd
Anton Zaslavski, known as Zedd, is a naturalized German DJ raised in Kaiserslautern and Dansenberg after being born in Saratov, USSR. Classically trained and formerly a metalcore drummer, he turned toward electronic music in 2009 and later broke through with Clarity. That musical background informs an EDM and house approach that has been described as classically shaped, while his Telos album marked a move toward more organic sound.
Zedd has held Las Vegas residencies across Hakkasan, OMNIA and Wet Republic from 2017 to 2021, then at Zouk Nightclub from 2021 onward alongside Tiësto. His festival history includes Coachella, Spring Awakening and EDC Las Vegas. At Coachella in 2019, he brought Katy Perry, Alessia Cara and Maren Morris onto the main stage; an EDC Las Vegas set was livestreamed in 2022.
In 2014, he won the Grammy for Best Dance Recording for Clarity. His release work has been associated with Interscope, OWSLA and Spinnin', complementing the polished, large-scale dance stages that anchor his DJ presence. Across those residencies, festival dates and record placements, Zedd remains shaped by the musical training and band experience that preceded his electronic career.
