Zatox — Hardstyle & Rawstyle DJZatox
Zatox is Gerardo Roschini, an Italian hardstyle and rawstyle DJ born 17 November 1975 in Tivoli, who has been producing and playing out since 2002 and became a fixture of DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll for six consecutive years between 2011 and 2016, peaking at number 36 in 2012. His touring career has taken him to some of hardstyle's biggest stages, including Defqon.1, Tomorrowland and EDC, where his high-energy rawstyle sets built a following distinct from the mainstream house and techno acts sharing those bills.
Roschini founded the label Italian Hardstyle in 2010 to support the harder, more aggressive sound he plays behind the decks, following it with a second label, Unite Records, in 2013 aimed at a broader hardstyle audience. His sustained run on the DJ Mag poll across six straight years reflects consistent international festival bookings during hardstyle's growth period in the early to mid-2010s, rather than a single breakout moment.
Zatox's sets are built around the harder, faster rawstyle sound that distinguishes his bookings from softer hardstyle and mainstream EDM programming on the same festival circuits. His two labels have continued to serve as platforms for new material feeding directly into his ongoing tour dates across Europe's hardstyle festival scene.
