Wiwek is the mononymous stage name of Wiwek Mahabali, a Dutch DJ and producer based in Utrecht credited as the pioneer of jungle terror, a hybrid bass style he introduced with his September 2014 EP on Barong Family. That release built his profile quickly within the Barong Family roster associated with Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, positioning him as a touring artist within their circuit of festival bookings. His sound blends tropical rhythms with harder electronic elements, a combination that carried through follow-up releases including the Jungle Terror Saga EP, tracing his path from bedroom producer in the Dutch town of IJsselstein to international festival stages.
