Will Atkinson
Will Atkinson is a Scottish trance and tech-trance DJ and producer from Glasgow who began mixing records at age seven and producing at 14, later engineering more than 90 records between 2011 and 2013. His tracks have received over 100 airplays on BBC Radio 1, with support from DJs including Tiësto, Axwell, Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk, and in 2016 he began hosting his own monthly BBC Radio 1 residency show on the first Thursday of each month. His breakthrough came with "Victims" on John O'Callaghan's Subculture label in 2014, an uplifting trance track that received direct support from the label's full headline roster including O'Callaghan, Simon Patterson and Aly & Fila collaborator Ben Kearney. Will Atkinson released his debut studio album, Last King of Scotland, complete with an accompanying live show performed from Platform in Glasgow, reflecting his transition from a purely studio-based producer to a touring live act. He has cited Judge Jules as a key early influence and continues to record for Nukleuz-adjacent trance and tech-trance labels while maintaining his BBC Radio 1 platform as a launching point for new productions and DJ mixes.
