Victor Calderone
Victor Calderone is a Brooklyn-born DJ who has held residencies at some of New York and Miami's defining clubs, including the Roxy in New York and Liquid in Miami, after his brother introduced him to DJing at age 15 in Bensonhurst. His club sets built a following distinct from his remix work for Madonna, Sting and Whitney Houston, and by the late 1990s he was recognised as one of house and techno's most in-demand resident DJs, later named Best Resident DJ by Club World magazine for his Pacha New York residency.
Calderone issued a run of mix CDs documenting his DJ sets, including E=VC2 in 1999 and Resonate in 2003, and he has continued to play extended sets built around his EVOLVE brand, blending house, techno and tribal rhythms. His club homes in New York also included Pacha and Crobar, the latter serving as the launchpad for his Evolve club night.
Calderone kept a busy DJ schedule into the 2020s, playing streamed sets such as Beatport Live's In Solidarity with Ukraine broadcast from Public Records in 2022 and, in October 2025, a back-to-back set at Refuge with Avision and his son Jivan Calderone under the Raw Cuts banner. Now working again on his MATTER+ label, Calderone remains active on the DJ circuit after roughly three decades behind the decks.
