Undercatt
Undercatt is a melodic techno duo from Tuscany, Italy, made up of Elia Crecchi and Luca Luperini, who began by throwing monthly parties in their hometown that grew into a launching pad for international DJ bookings. Signed to Solomun's Diynamic label, the pair released their debut track Golden Area on the label's Four to the Floor various-artists series before following with the Duologue EP, records built to translate into their live sets rather than stand alone as studio pieces. Their catalog includes mixes for the Diynamic Festival Podcast and an appearance on Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 After Hours Mix, both DJ-facing platforms that extended their reach beyond club bookings alone. Undercatt's 2023 collaboration with Swiss duo Adriatique, the Horizon EP on X Recordings, followed their Pete Tong Essential New Tune placement for We Are Your Friends, and their live sets have taken them to Ibiza's DC-10, Paris's Rex Club and Barcelona's Input. Crecchi and Luperini have described their shared goal in interviews as capturing atmosphere through melody and groove, an approach that has defined both their studio releases and their touring sets across European techno and house venues.
