Tydi

TyDi, born Tyson Illingworth on May 31, 1987, in Mooloolaba, Queensland, is an Australian DJ and record producer specializing in electronic dance music. He became interested in dance music, particularly trance, at age 14 and began DJing soon after, later entering DJ competitions at 16, one of which misprinted his nickname Tydi as tyDi, a typo that became his stage name. Armin van Buuren's Armada label signed him at age 17, an early break that led to his ranking as number one in Junkee's Australian Top 50 DJs poll in both 2008 and 2009.

Between 2008 and 2012, tyDi appeared annually in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll, peaking at number 48 in 2011. His debut album, Look Closer, arrived in 2009, followed by Shooting Stars in 2011, which reached number one on iTunes Dance charts in Australia, Canada, Finland, and the UK. In October 2012, he signed a worldwide publishing deal with Rondor and Universal Music, followed by a record deal with Republic Records in 2013.

His subsequent albums include Hotel Rooms (2013), Redefined (2014), whose title track topped the US dance airplay chart in 2015, and Collide (2018), a collaboration with composer Christopher Tin. He graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music while building his international touring and production career.
