Trent Cantrelle

Trent Cantrelle is a New Orleans-born, Los Angeles-based DJ and producer who has spent around 25 years working across house and tech house, playing festivals including BPM and Coachella while hosting his own Sounds Like parties in LA. His breakout came with the track Runaway at Winter Music Conference 2005, an Essential New Tune pickup that caught the attention of Pete Tong, who called him one of the scene's rising names.

His productions have since been played out by Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola and Adam Beyer, underscoring his standing among techno and tech house tastemakers. His mixes, including a 2018 set recorded live at Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles, showcase the deep tech house sound he has built his club sets around, and he has appeared on the Insomniac artist roster tied to major festival bookings such as Electric Daisy Carnival.

Cantrelle's catalogue includes releases such as Night Like This alongside contributions to compilation series like Deep Tech Los Angeles. Having built a steady stream of releases on prominent house and techno imprints throughout his career, he continues to headline underground nightclub dates and festival stages across North America, with his LA-based Sounds Like parties remaining a fixture of the city's house scene.
