Traumer
Romain Reynaud, working as Traumer alongside aliases including Romain Poncet and Sergie Rezza, is a French DJ and producer based in Paris after growing up in Avignon in the country's Provence region. His sound evolved from driving, straight techno into a more intricate, groovy and hypnotic style leaning toward minimal house, a shift traced to the influence of Bucharest-scene artists Rhadoo, Raresh and Petre Inspirescu. He debuted in 2011 with a heavy-hitting record on Skryptöm before launching his own label, Gettraum, as a platform for new minimal-leaning sound that has since become a defined outlet for his and others' work.
His track Hoodlum reached number one on Beatport's techno chart, an underground breakthrough that Clubber.rs described as firing up club audiences on the strength of its uncompromising sound. Sergie Rezza, his collaboration with Cyril Etienne des Rosaies, also known as DJ Deep, represents a separate strand of his output distinct from his solo Traumer sets. Partyflock's DJ database lists more than sixty tracked performances under the Traumer name, reflecting a steady club schedule across the European minimal and techno circuit.
Reynaud continues to release through Gettraum while touring under the Traumer alias as his primary platform.
