Tommyknocker
Tommyknocker, born Tommaso Marra in Rome on January 20, 1977, is an Italian hardcore DJ and producer credited as one of the first DJs to bring hardcore music into Italian clubs. After buying his first turntables in 1992, he discovered hardcore in 1994 and began playing underground raves in Rome, moving into club bookings and radio shows by 1995, when he adopted the Tommyknocker name.
Over three decades behind the decks, he has become an established figure in the genre, releasing on the Dutch label Traxtorm Records and helping spread Italian hardcore to international audiences. His discography includes numerous records that have featured across hundreds of hardcore compilations, supporting his reputation within the mainstream hardcore scene alongside his early alias System Snare.
Tommyknocker continues to tour internationally, with representation through agencies covering Benelux markets and closest-airport logistics reflecting an active European gig calendar based out of Italy. His decades-long career bridges the genre's rave-era roots in Rome with its structured club and festival circuit today, and he remains a reference point for Italian hardcore's spread across Europe.
