Tommie Sunshine

Tommie Sunshine is a Chicago-born, Brooklyn-based DJ and producer, real name Thomas John Norello, whose taste for DJ mixes on the radio during the 1980s led him into Chicago house clubs including Medusa's. In the early 1990s he traveled to New York to attend the final Storm Rave staged by DJ Frankie Bones, an experience that launched him into a run of popular sets at Midwest raves through the decade. His remix of a Yoko Ono track reached number one on Billboard's Dance chart in 2008, and he has since headlined the main stage of Ultra Music Festival on two occasions, alongside sets on the Hard stage at Electric Daisy Carnival and dates across Stereosonic in Australia. He currently performs and produces alongside The Disco Fries and as part of the trio Horsepower with Bart B More and RipTidE, and has previously collaborated with Felix Da Housecat, Miss Kittin and Marc Romboy. His catalogue spans labels including Ultra Records, Systematic Recordings, Vicious Recordings and his own Brooklyn Fire and Brooklyn Blue imprints, and he built a name for dance remixes of rock and alternative songs, work that runs alongside original productions and contributions to the Dance Dance Revolution game series.
