About Tomcraft

Tomcraft, born Thomas Bruckner in Regensburg, was a German DJ and producer who specialized in progressive house and progressive trance. He began DJing in Munich in 1994 and played his first major sets in 1995 at the city's Union Move technoparade, the same year he signed to local label Kosmo Records, where he released his debut track This Is No House. In 1996 he met producer Eniac while both worked at Munich's Neutronic record store, and the pair produced together as a studio team through 2004, yielding the track Prosac that year.

From the late 1990s until 2003, Bruckner held a resident DJ slot at Munich's KW techno club. His 2001 debut album All I Got charted in Germany, but his defining moment came with 2002's Loneliness, built around a melody borrowed from Andrea Martin's Share the Love, which topped the UK singles chart in May 2003 after Bruckner distributed white-label copies to DJs at Berlin's Love Parade, one of which reached BBC Radio 1's Judge Jules, who played it for thirteen consecutive weeks. Loneliness was later remixed by Hardwell and DJs From Mars in 2023 and featured in the film Saltburn.

Bruckner died on 15 July 2024 at age 49.
