Tim Healey
Tim Healey is a British DJ and producer who ran his first rave in the UK in 1990, an early milestone that placed him at the founding edge of Britain's dance music culture. Also known by the alias Electric Tease, Healey built a career spanning house, breakbeat, and trance, collaborating over the years with Pete Martin as Slide, as well as with Luis Paris and Mark Allen.
DJ Mag praised his output directly, stating that “Tim Healey tears the speakers apart, the music is as cutting edge as it can be,” a review reflected in his consistent remixing and original LP releases across three decades. He met producer Mark Allen while both were DJing at Return to the Source events in London, a partnership that led to further collaborative production under names including Quirk.
After relocating his studio to Brighton, Healey continued releasing music, including the collaborative single “Back to the Ghetto” with Calvertron, a release that extended his catalogue into newer breakbeat-adjacent territory. Healey's career reflects a DJ who has moved fluidly across genre lines from the early UK rave scene through house, trance, and breakbeat, sustaining relevance through repeated genre pivots and collaborative projects.
