Thomas Newson
Tommy Verkuijlen, who performs as Thomas Newson, is a Dutch DJ and record producer born in 1994 in Heeswijk-Dinther, the son of DJ and producer Marco V, with whom he has collaborated repeatedly. He signed his first record, "Delta," to Oxygen Records in 2012, and his 2013 collaboration with New World Sound, "Flute," brought him international recognition, charting widely and surpassing 100 million views on YouTube. He has released music through Toolroom, Black Book and Repopulate Mars, building a catalogue of house and progressive house productions that have earned support from some of the biggest names in the global house scene. His two albums released in late 2013 both reached Beatport's top 10 simultaneously, a rare feat that underscored his rapid rise within the Dutch dance-music scene while still in his teens. His career has continued to combine touring DJ sets with a prolific release schedule, keeping him active on festival and club lineups across the house and progressive house circuit into the current decade.
