The Thrillseekers

The Thrillseekers, the stage name of English DJ and producer Steve Helstrip, was born 24 October 1973 in York. Helstrip's debut single, Synaesthesia, released in 1999, launched a DJ career built on regular performances at Creamfields, Tomorrowland, Ministry of Sound, Godskitchen and Gatecrasher, venues and festivals that anchored the UK trance circuit through the 2000s.

He released his mix and compilation series NightMusic beginning in late 2005, following the first volume with a 30-date world tour, and continued the series with NightMusic Volume 2 in 2007 and a further edition in 2009. Helstrip ranked 45th in DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs poll in 2006, a placement that reflected his standing among trance's touring names at the time.

His DJ sets are known for fluid mixing and an emotive trance sound, and he collaborated with Ferry Corsten on the track Sublime, a release tied to his 2003 Hydra side project. His album Escape came out on Future Sound of Egypt in 2016, continuing a discography built alongside two decades of club and festival DJ performances across the trance touring circuit.
