About Technasia
Technasia is the tech house and techno project founded in Hong Kong in 1996 by Charles Siegling and Amil Khan, blending Parisian club sensibilities with the sound of the Hong Kong scene where the pair first met in the mid-1990s. The duo built a reputation for driving, rhythmic tracks layered with hypnotic vocal samples, releasing a series of singles on their own label, Sino, including tracks that became techno-circuit anthems by the turn of the millennium. Their debut LP arrived in 2001, cementing Technasia's standing across European and Asian club circuits.
Khan, based in Hong Kong, and Siegling, based in Paris, worked as a duo for close to twelve years before Khan's departure around 2008 to 2010, after which Siegling continued the project as a solo act while retaining the Technasia name. The act was nominated for Best Techno DJ at the DJ Awards in Ibiza, reflecting its long-running presence in high-energy techno and tech house sets. Technasia continues to tour internationally, playing venues such as Luz de Gas in Barcelona and collaborating with contemporary selectors including Rafa Barrios and Elvis Guetta on B2B sets.
Across nearly three decades, the project's east/west fusion, rooted in its Hong Kong origins but shaped by the Paris club scene, has remained its defining identifier within the broader tech house and techno landscape.
