Taska Black

Taska Black is an Antwerp-based Belgian producer and DJ whose dreamy, melody-driven bass music style draws on a background in classical training merged with modern bass production techniques. His single “Leave Me” was featured on the debut compilation for bitbird, the label founded by San Holo, after catching the Dutch producer's attention in 2016; the track drew millions of streams and was played across the festival circuit by major EDM names. That relationship led San Holo to commission Taska Black for two official remixes, of “Light” and “The Future,” before Taska released further singles on bitbird, including “Where We Go” and “Dreaming,” and made his label debut on Lowly Palace with “Nothing Lasts.” Taska Black's rise has been closely tied to the bitbird roster and its associated sound, positioning him within a scene of melodic, emotionally toned bass producers who also perform their material in DJ sets at festivals and club shows. His music blends organic instrumentation with electronic bass textures, an approach that has carried through both his studio releases and his live performances. Still building his profile as of his rise through the bitbird circle, Taska Black represents part of a younger generation of Belgian producers finding an international audience through label-driven curation.
