Sydney Blu
Sydney Blu, born Joanne Judith-Mary Hill in Thunder Bay, is a Canadian DJ, producer and label owner known for live-event performances at major festivals and clubs worldwide. Her singles Give It Up for Me and Senses and the Mind broke Beatport sales records, and she used that momentum to launch her own label, Blu Music, with the single Instinct.
Blu has released as a signed artist on Mau5trap, deadmau5's label, placing her within its roster. In January 2019 she relocated from Canada to Berlin to record her next studio album and immerse herself in the city's club culture, a move that reflected her ongoing shift toward the techno-leaning sound associated with the German capital.
Her discography, distributed across Discogs and her own label, spans house and techno productions built for club and festival main-room sets. Blu's career has combined studio chart success, particularly her Beatport-record-recording singles, with a touring schedule built around major dance music festivals, and her decision to relocate to Berlin marked a deliberate repositioning toward the European techno circuit after building her reputation initially through the North American house and electronic scene.
