Super Flu
Super Flu are German DJs and producers Mathias Schwarz and Feliks Thielemann, based in Halle (Saale), who began working together in 2005 and have built a career spanning melodic house and techno, tech house and afro house. The duo released their first record on the KarateKlub label in 2005, and in 2009 founded Monaberry, initially conceived as a sublabel of the Bremen-based Plantage 13, which became the primary outlet for their own releases and for artists including Adam Ten, Andhim and Tim Engelhardt. Their 2013 album Halle Saale, named for their home city, was followed by a remix EP featuring reworks from DJ Koze, Stephan Bodzin and Format:B.
The duo have toured for more than fifteen years, releasing on labels including Diynamic, Get Physical Music and Moon Harbour Recordings alongside their own Monaberry output. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they launched a Twitch channel streaming DJ sets from Monday to Friday with guests such as Anja Schneider and Matthias Tanzmann. In 2023 they founded a second label, Didschn, expanding their platform for their own music and outside artists.
Solomun remixed their track "Mygut" from the 2017 album Musik 3. Super Flu continue to release music and perform internationally, with Monaberry remaining central to their DJ and production identity.
