Stimming
Stimming, the Hamburg-based producer born Martin Stimming in December 1983, began producing electronic music at 16 and moved to Hamburg at 19 before releasing on Diynamic starting in 2006, becoming one of the label's defining names. His live sets, built from hand-made sounds and field recordings taken from objects like coffee machines and children's toys, have played at Diynamic Festival, Melt!, Fusion Festival, Into the Woods in the Netherlands, Babylon Festival in Australia and the BPM Festival in Mexico, along with regular appearances in South Africa.
He has contributed mixed tracks to major compilation series including DJ Koze's Pampa Vol. 1, Oliver Koletzki's Schneeweiss series, Cocoon Compilation S, and Oliver Schories' Global Underground: Nubreed 10.
In 2012 he performed a classical arrangement of his track November Morning with the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, extending his live practice beyond club and festival settings. His catalogue spans Diynamic, Terminal M, Buzzin' Fly, Crosstown Rebels, Pampa Records and Mute, among many others, reflecting a career built on integrating improvised, sample-based sound design into deep house performances that keep him touring internationally more than fifteen years after his Diynamic debut.
