About Steve Angello

Steve Patrik Angello Josefsson Fragogiannis, known as Steve Angello, is a Greek-Swedish DJ raised in Ulriksdal, Solna. He began as a scratch DJ at 12 and started his professional career in 2001 under the alias Who's Who. His sound spans progressive house, electro house and tech house, informed by early hip hop, breakbeat and 1970s classics. In 2003, Angello founded Stockholm's Size Records, later launching its tech-house-focused sister label X in 2013.

He also created Size TV in 2012 to document his life and work. A collaboration with Axwell under the name Supermode produced Tell Me Why, which led to Angello's solo breakthrough. In late 2008, he formed Swedish House Mafia with Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso. The trio made its Tomorrowland debut in 2010 and headlined and closed the festival in 2010, 2011 and 2012; Angello also headlined and opened the second night in 2012.

Their One Last Tour concluded at Ultra Music Festival Miami in 2013. Angello's individual DJ Magazine poll high was 14 in 2010. His remake of Robin S.'s Show Me Love with Laidback Luke reached number one on the UK dance charts and became a Swedish House Mafia set staple. Through Size, large-scale festival sets and a crossover house sound, Angello has maintained a clear connection between DJ culture, label leadership and Swedish dance music.
