Stanton Warriors, the British DJ and production duo of Dominic Butler and Mark Yardley, originally from Bristol and now based in West London, have built a long-running reputation through their Stanton Sessions club nights, which have toured Europe, North America, Asia and Australia since the early 2000s. Emerging during a period when UK garage was giving way to breaks and nu-breaks, the duo built their DJ identity around bass-heavy garage and breakbeat sets that translated into a string of mix compilations, starting with The Stanton Session in 2001. They followed with The Stanton Sessions Vol.
2, also billed as The Lost Files, in 2006, the same year they contributed to the respected Fabric Live series with Fabric Live 30. Their commercial peak as compilers came with The Stanton Sessions Vol. 3, released in the UK on 27 October 2008 and rated five out of five by iDJ magazine, becoming their best-selling mix release to that point.
Known within UK dance circles as a breakbeat-focused act, the duo have built their reputation primarily through club and touring DJ sets rather than chart singles, with their Stanton Sessions brand functioning as both a party series and a mix-album franchise. More than two decades after forming, Butler and Yardley continue to perform together as Stanton Warriors on the international club circuit.
