About Solardo
Solardo is the British tech-house duo of Mark Richards and James Eliot, formed in Manchester. They broke through with Tribesmen on Hot Creations, a release that reached number one on Beatport and established their connection to club-focused house music. Their releases have also appeared on Viva, elrow, Toolroom, Repopulate Mars and Relief Records, while their own Sola imprint gives them a continuing role as curators as well as performers. Solardo have sold out The Warehouse Project and ran a second sold-out Solardo Sessions UK tour in 2018, expanding it with dates in Barcelona, Milan and Rotterdam.
They have also played US events including Movement Detroit and EDC Las Vegas. A defining residency saw them work alongside Eric Prydz at Hï Ibiza for 12 weeks. Their festival appearances include Glastonbury, Lovebox, Tomorrowland, Hideout and Parklife, where they headlined the Hangar stage to a crowd of 14,000. Their wider DJ work includes hosting The Spot radio show and contributing to Pete Tong's Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1.
DJ Mag recognised the pair as Best Breakthrough DJs in 2016 and Best Duo in 2017. Solardo's identity rests on tech house that works across club residencies, tours and large festival crowds without losing its direct dance-floor focus.
