Slumberjack
Slumberjack is a Perth-based Australian electronic duo formed by Morgan Then and Fletcher Ehlers, both previous winners of the Western Australia Limelite DJ Competition before forming the project together. Since their 2014 breakout, the duo has built cinematic, high-impact soundscapes released through labels including Mad Decent, Monstercat, Sweat It Out, and Future Classic, with their live and DJ sets described by Monstercat as combining rich production with forward-thinking dance-music arrangements. Over more than a decade of activity, Slumberjack has toured internationally, and the pair have discussed their journey from meeting as young DJ-competition winners to sustaining a decade-long career in electronic music during a public Reddit AMA session. Their catalogue spans EDM-adjacent dance tracks built for festival stages as well as more textured, cinematic material suited to headphone listening. Slumberjack's origin as competitive DJs before evolving into a production-focused duo reflects a career arc that began in Australia's amateur DJ circuit and expanded into label deals and international touring across the broader electronic dance scene.
