About Simon Patterson

Simon Patterson is a Belfast-born Northern Irish trance DJ based in London. He began DJing in 2000 and became a resident at London's La Cruz nightclub, after early work in A&R and assisting Seb Fontaine and Judge Jules with weekly BBC Radio 1 show selections. In 2003 he formed the trance project Dogzilla with Richie Kayvan; its largest hit was “Without You.” Patterson left the project in 2008 to develop a solo profile under his own name, having already issued his first solo single, “F-16,” in 2006.

His event schedule has included headline appearances at Dreamstate, EDC, Beyond Wonderland, Transmission, A State of Trance, Creamfields, Tomorrowland, BAT, Evolution, Mayday and Lumin. In 2011 he founded the Night Vision label under Spinnin' Records, adding a curatorial outlet to his work as a touring DJ. Patterson's approach is firmly centred on trance and a demanding run of club and festival dates, with La Cruz serving as an important early residency.

The move away from Dogzilla allowed him to establish Simon Patterson as a distinct DJ identity, one that has been sustained through regular appearances at major trance-focused events and a continuing label platform.
