Sidney V. Samson is a Dutch house DJ of Surinamese descent, born in 1981 and associated with Amsterdam. He began DJing at 13 with a focus on hip hop, then started working seriously with house music in 1999. His early house career included releases such as “Bring That Beat Back” on digidance and “It's All Funked Up” on Spinnin' Records.
After collaborating with Gregor Salto, Samson founded his own Samsobeats label in 2007 and released his best-known track, “Riverside,” in 2009. A resident role at the major Dutch nightclub The Matrixx established an important club base, while later he held a major residency at The Wynn clubs in Las Vegas and toured with LMFAO. His house-oriented work also connects to crossover collaborations involving Kylie Minogue, David Guetta, Kelly Rowland and Martin Solveig. In addition to Samsobeats, he has released through Rock the Houze, Spinnin' Records and digidance.
Samson's DJ path runs from teenage hip-hop selection to house residencies in the Netherlands and Las Vegas, with “Riverside” serving as a decisive breakthrough. The combination of club residency work, touring and wide-ranging pop-EDM collaborations reflects a career designed for energetic house crowds while remaining open to the genre's commercial crossover possibilities.
