Sharam Jey

Sharam Jey is a Cologne-based German DJ and producer of Iranian descent, born Sharam Nickjey Khososi, who worked as a singer in a rock band before house and techno drew him into DJing during the 1990s. His project Three N One achieved an international breakthrough in 1997 through a remix of "Café Del Mar," a track some outlets have called the best dance record of all time, and the success brought remix requests from Moby, Faith No More, Faithless, Salt-N-Pepa and Mylo.

He has released on his own label, King Kong Records, since 2003, issuing his first artist album, "In My Blood," through the label in 2010, and he later founded Bunny Tiger, a second label he runs alongside artists Betoko and Purple Disco Machine. His DJ sets draw on nudisco, house, deep house, techno and breakbeat, with occasional minimalist detours that reflect his roots in the 1990s German club scene where he first found electronic music after leaving band life behind.

He began his residency history at Aachen's club B9 in 1993, spending five years there as main resident and building the technical foundation that carried into his international touring and remix career. His third studio album, "Invisible," continues that decades-long production run.
