Seamus Haji
Seamus Haji, born in 1968, is a Brighton-based house DJ of Irish-Indian descent who hosts the Big Love Radio Show and the Haji's House show, two long-running programs that have kept him a consistent presence on dance radio. He co-founded the Big Love label with Janet Bell of Defected, pairing his DJ career with a label platform that has released his own tracks and those of other house producers.
Haji has remixed Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Moby, and Estelle, remix credits that placed his production work in front of mainstream pop audiences well beyond typical club crowds. His cover of Last Night a DJ Saved My Life became one of his best-known tracks, tying his DJ identity directly to a song about the role of the club DJ.
Between his radio shows, his label, and his mainstream remix credits, Haji has built a career that bridges underground house culture and more commercial pop and R&B production work, giving him visibility across both club and radio audiences in the UK. His work spans DJing, radio, label management, remixing, and original production.
