Scot Project
Scot Project, the stage name of German producer and DJ Frank Zenker from Frankfurt, who learned to mix techno at age 13 and got his first real break in 1986 playing breakbeat sets in a Frankfurt youth club. Through the 1990s he became resident DJ at several clubs in and around Frankfurt, building a live reputation before his production career took off in 1994 with his debut track "X" on the Overdose label.
His single "U (I Got a Feeling)" followed with wider chart success, and further hits including "Y (How Deep Is Your Love)" in 1998 and "O (Overdrive)" in 2001 cemented his position within German hard trance, a genre in which he is frequently described as a defining figure. Zenker records prolifically under multiple aliases beyond Scot Project, including Arome, Tocs and Dread Selector, reflecting a broad and varied production catalogue that feeds into his DJ sets.
His club residencies and hard trance releases on Overdose and Druck Records span more than three decades of activity, from his earliest breakbeat sets through his rise as a defining hard trance producer and touring DJ. Scot Project remains associated with the genre's German scene, where his catalogue continues to be played across the hard trance and hardstyle-adjacent club circuit.
