Sandra Collins
Sandra Collins is a Las Vegas-raised DJ who began playing in the late 1980s and relocated to Los Angeles in 1992, where she became embedded in the California rave scene as a DJ, art installer and publisher of Rave Magazine. She performed for more than 80,000 attendees at Woodstock '99 and became the first female DJ featured in the influential Tranceport mix series, later releasing two CD mixes on Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto label as Perfecto Presents: Sandra Collins in 2003 and 2006. Her festival credits include Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Global Gathering, Creamfields and Burning Man, and in 2005 she launched SV2 Presents: Interference, a touring audio-visual show remixing more than 40 animated video pieces live on Pioneer DVJ-X1 turntables, sponsored by Pioneer Pro DJ and earning a DJ Times cover feature. She starred in the documentary Girl, chronicling women DJs in electronic dance music, and won URB Magazine's Best Female Artist in 1999 and Dancestar UK's Best DJ in 2003. Her mix catalogue extends through Bringing the Heat, Live at Burning Man, Progressiva and 2024's Interference Re:Imagined with collaborator Micke.
