Sabo
Sabo, born Will Sabatini, is an American DJ and producer who founded the record label Sol Selectas in New York City in 2006, an outlet that has grown into an influential imprint in the organic house scene. Now based in Los Angeles, he describes his own sets as organic deep tribal house and downtempo, favoring percussive drums and groovy basslines within a 100 to 125 BPM range, while remaining open to Afro house, melodic house and deep house depending on the crowd. Over roughly fifteen years, Sabo has built a signature style he calls funky, feel-good music, an irresistible Balearic blend of deep house, tropical bass, moombahton, dub, disco, hip hop, soul and reggae that has carried him to headline sets at festivals and underground events around the world. Sol Selectas, which Sabo now runs with his wife Helia Jamali, has passed 100 releases and includes artists such as Satori, Be Svendsen, Armen Miran, Goldcap, Unders and Namito, with the label's landmark 100th release featuring original Sabo material and a remix by Hyenah. He recently collaborated with Namito and Shamoun on the three-way single Spicy Sumac, continuing a production partnership that runs alongside his ongoing global DJ bookings.
