RÜFÜS DU SOL, the Sydney-formed trio of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt, brings a melodic house and techno sensibility to a career that blends full live-band shows with dedicated DJ sets. Beyond their stadium and festival touring, which has included headline slots at Coachella, Osheaga and Lollapalooza and sold-out shows at the Hollywood Bowl and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the group DJs regularly through their own label and event brand, Rose Avenue Records.
Their Rose Ave Radio series has featured RÜFÜS DU SOL performing dedicated DJ sets across more than twenty episodes since 2020, distinct from their full-band live shows, giving fans a separate entry point into their programming and taste. Their third album, Surrender, was recorded during a seven-week studio residency in Pioneertown, California, and the subsequent Surrender world tour ran for two years between 2021 and 2023, including three sold-out stadium shows at Banc of California Stadium.
The band has earned four Best Australian Live Act nominations at the ARIA Music Awards across multiple tours, from Words Within Worlds through their 2022 Australian tour. Their Rose Avenue imprint also functions as a platform for DJ-facing releases and showcases, connecting the group’s live-band work with the club-facing DJ scene.
