Ruben de Ronde
Ruben de Ronde, born Petrus Ruben de Ronde in Gouda, has built his DJ career largely around A State of Trance, the Armin van Buuren radio show he has worked on since 2007, initially behind the scenes as an Armada Music A&R manager before shifting toward producing the broadcast itself in 2011. He began hosting the second hour of the weekly show in 2020 as it expanded into video, reaching an estimated 40 million listeners across more than 84 countries, over 100 FM stations and global livestreams. In 2005 he founded the digital trance label Statement!
Recordings, which later became a division of Armada Music, and he has continued to release music through Statement! and Armada while touring as a DJ at events including Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival and the wider A State of Trance global event series. His 2023 track Destination, made with Rank 1, Ferry Corsten and Armin van Buuren, was named the official anthem of ASOT 2024 and surpassed five million streams within months of release.
De Ronde also reunited with Ferry Corsten under the NRG2000 project in 2025, releasing New Inner Way and Rise Up through Flashover Recordings, and has recorded official remixes for Robbie Williams and Above & Beyond, extending a catalogue built around melodic, emotive progressive trance.
