About Roger Sanchez

Roger Sanchez is an American house DJ from New York City who began playing nightclubs there before building an international career, becoming a well-known figure on the European club circuit, particularly in Ibiza, alongside Erick Morillo, David Morales and Danny Tenaglia. Sanchez has held a residency in Ibiza every summer since 2000, sustaining one of house music's longer-running seasonal residencies on the island. He hosts the weekly radio show Release Yourself, broadcast terrestrially and online to an audience the show credits at 15 million listeners worldwide, and he produces a companion bi-weekly podcast that won the first-ever Best Podcast award at the International Dance Music Awards in 2007 and reached its 1,000th episode on 21 December 2020. Sanchez curates a yearly Release Yourself compilation series that blends deep house, Latin, tribal and tech sounds, including a tenth-anniversary edition in 2010, functioning as a DJ-facing extension of his radio brand. He founded Stealth Records in 2002, one of several labels in his catalog alongside UNDR the RADR and releases through Ministry of Sound, and his 2001 single “Another Chance,” from the album First Contact, reached number one in the UK, giving him a crossover hit built on the same club sound that has powered his decades-long residency and radio career.
