Ritmo is the stage name of Dov Dagan, an Israeli DJ and producer born in 1977 who works primarily within psytrance and progressive psytrance. He entered the trance scene in 1998 while traveling internationally, encountering the genre's community across countries including Japan before launching his own project under the Ritmo name in 2005. Based in Tel Aviv, Dagan has released a steady catalog of productions and collaborations, including tracks made with artists such as Bliss, and issued the album Adventures on Iono Music, supporting it with interviews and mix sets distributed through outlets including Trancentral. Ritmo has described his own surprise at the reach his music achieved after starting the project, reflecting a career built gradually through the international psytrance touring circuit rather than a single breakout moment. His DJ sets and productions have circulated on platforms including YouTube and SoundCloud-adjacent channels for over a decade, and he remains active within Israel's psytrance scene, a community that has produced several artists with substantial followings across the genre's European and Asian festival circuits.
