Rhadoo
Rhadoo, born Radu Bogdan Cilinca in Galati, began DJing in 1995, playing early house sets at Studio Martin and Club A before developing the metallic, minimal style that became his signature. He is best known as a co-founder of the [a:rpia:r] label and collective, formed in 2007 with Petre Inspirescu and Raresh, a vinyl-only imprint that promoted Romanian producers including Cristi Cons, Praslea and Kozo alongside international names like Thomas Melchior and DJ Sneak. The trio built a long-running residency at DC10 in Ibiza and became closely associated with Romania's minimal scene, with Rhadoo described by peers as one of the most familiar names in the country's clubbing history.
He played throughout Romania's club circuit and was heard regularly on radio, while producing tracks such as "Dor Mit Oru" for Cadenza and "Denouri" for Moon Harbour. His earlier work included the Fire In Water project with Cristian Paduraru and the "Platonic Techno" EP on 2LS 2 Dance. As part of the RPR Sound trio with Inspirescu and Raresh, he co-mixed part of the DC10 tenth-anniversary compilation released on Moon Harbour in 2008.
Rhadoo's blending of new and old techniques helped define [a:rpia:r]'s international reputation as one of Romania's most exported electronic music brands.
