Rabbit In the Moon
Rabbit in the Moon is a Tampa-formed act built around performer Bunny and producer Dave Christophere, known since 1992 for combining electronic dance music with an elaborate, costume-driven stage show rather than a conventional DJ booth presentation. Their performances blend techno and progressive house with theatrical elements, including custom LED-lit leather suits designed and built by Bunny, alongside pyrotechnics and video projection handled by longtime visual collaborator VJ Tek.
The group's shows became a fixture of the Florida rave scene through the 1990s, with a reputation built on shock and spectacle as much as music selection. A retrospective release combined a collection of singles and newer material with a separate disc of music videos and live festival performances, documenting the visual side of their act alongside its audio output.
Rabbit in the Moon's live sets have periodically reunited the original members for one-off performances, including reunion dates in Miami that revisited remixes of tracks by artists such as Sarah McLachlan, the Stone Roses and Garbage. Despite lineup and format experiments over the years, including work with an additional member known as Monk, the group's identity has remained anchored in its combination of dance music and immersive stage design rather than any single genre convention.
