Psyko Punkz — Hardstyle DJ Duo

Psyko Punkz are a Dutch hardstyle DJ duo formed in 2008 by Sven Sieperda and Wietse Amersfoort who built their name on the festival mainstage circuit rather than club residencies. The pair have played Defqon.1 in both the Netherlands and Australia, along with Nature One, Qlimax and TomorrowWorld, festivals central to the European hardstyle calendar. Their track “Bass Boom” was voted best song at the 2010 Hard Dance Awards and its official video passed 1.5 million YouTube views within ten months, while “Psyko Foundation” reached 150,000 views in its first month, both tracks central to their touring DJ sets. “Fate or Fortune” served as the annual anthem for Qlimax in 2012, and the duo also produced anthems tied to other major hardstyle events, including “Capital Of The Harder Styles” for Bassleader 2009, “Beyond Belief” for Reverze 2012 and “Fight 4 Your Right 2 Party” for the 2012 Q-Base Dirty Workz stage. Their studio output across the following years, including the Psyko Foundation EP and Stream of Blood EP in 2012 and the collaboration “Trippy Hippie” featuring Murda in 2013, has functioned largely as material engineered for their own hardstyle DJ sets and for the wider festival circuit that has anchored their career since forming.
