Pig & Dan — Hypnotic Techno DJ Duo

Pig & Dan, the techno duo of Igor Tchkotoua and Dan Duncan, began their partnership in 1999 when the pair met on a flight bound for Mallorca and quickly discovered a shared background in the UK's underground scene, with Duncan previously a resident DJ at Ministry of Sound. Their releases on Sven Vath's Cocoon Recordings, Soma, John Digweed's Bedrock, and Adam Beyer's Drumcode placed them across several of techno's most respected labels over the following two decades, coverage confirmed by DJ Mag and Billboard interviews. The duo held a residency within Fabric London's Odyssey event series, one of the club's long-running techno nights, giving them a consistent London platform alongside international festival bookings. Their DJ sets blend hypnotic, groove-heavy techno with occasional melodic detours, a style that has kept them relevant across shifting techno trends since the early 2000s. Press coverage describes their creative partnership as built on complementary backgrounds, Tchkotoua's roots in raw underground rave culture and Duncan's more structured club residency experience, a combination reflected in sets that move between hypnotic minimalism and bigger room-filling techno depending on the venue and crowd.
