Piem
PIEM is the performing name of Alvaro Palau Marimon, a Barcelona-based DJ and producer with more than twenty years in the city's house music scene since starting out around 2000. He holds a residency at Jackies, a Barcelona brand spanning club nights, a festival and a record label, where he also serves as A&R and music curator, and he doubles as music curator for the W Hotel Barcelona. His sets draw on influences from Ibiza, US and UK house traditions, and he is a regular presence at clubs including INPUT and Pacha Barcelona, as well as at festivals such as Sonar and Mad Cool. Production credits include releases on Moon Harbour, Defected (DFTD), Toolroom and Crosstown Rebels, labels that have also fed directly into his DJ sets and reinforced his standing in Barcelona's house scene. With over 3.2 million listeners worldwide across streaming platforms, PIEM has built a career balancing club residencies, curatorial work and studio output, with his Jackies residency serving as the anchor for his continued presence in Barcelona's nightlife and a springboard for international bookings tied to the same brand's festival and label activities.
