Perfect Stranger — Progressive Trance & Techno DJPerfect Stranger
Perfect Stranger, the stage name of Yuli Fershtat, is an Israeli musician, producer, and DJ born in 1970 in Moscow before moving to Israel at age 11. He previously released music under the name BLT before launching the Perfect Stranger project around February 2005, quickly building international acclaim within two years for a sound that bridges progressive trance and techno with tribal and psychedelic elements.
Fershtat has released eight albums across his BLT and Perfect Stranger monikers, along with a long list of 12-inch singles, EPs, and compilation tracks, and has compiled several of his own mix compilations for the psytrance scene. In 2011, he acquired the label Digital Structures, which he has since used to release both his own material and work by other artists, splitting output between the more tech-oriented Yuli Fershtat moniker and the broader Perfect Stranger sound.
