Party Favor
Party Favor is the stage name of Dylan Ragland, a Los Angeles-based DJ and producer who built his career on the festival trap circuit before broadening into bass and house sounds. Signed early to A-Trak's Fool's Gold and Mad Decent, he charted with his debut single "Meow" and became a regular presence at Ultra Music Festival, SXSW and Coachella, drawing praise from peers including Skrillex, Diplo and DJ Snake. Ragland has recorded mixes for Los Angeles radio station Power 106 and toured with Insomniac events including a headlining Layers Envisioned run through clubs such as Exchange LA.
His original productions and remixes for A$AP Ferg, Gucci Mane and Dillon Francis have supported a DJ set built on heavy bass drops and technical mixing rather than pure trap tropes. In 2020, during a break from touring, he shifted focus toward a more introspective album project, ISOLATION, released as dance floors sat empty during the pandemic; he followed it with the RESET album on Ultra Music. He is also one half of the house-leaning duo Sidepiece alongside Nitti Gritti, a project that has let him move between big-room festival sets and club-oriented house music.
Born in New York City and raised partly in Park City, Utah, Ragland has spent his adult career based in Los Angeles, working the festival trap sound into new territory over more than a decade of touring.
