Paranormal Attack
Paranormal Attack is a Portuguese psychedelic trance act formed in 2001 by Rui Oliveira, known as Xangaii, alongside Gonçalo Miranda and Lucas, producing psy-trance continuously since the group's founding. Their catalogue spans labels including Wired Music, Global Army Music, Crystal Matrix Records, Shiva Space Japan and Chemical Crew Records, with releases such as the Soldiers EP, Cobra Gypsies EP and collaborative tracks alongside genre peers Skazi and Exaile. The act has built its DJ profile through remix work, including versions of Metallica's Seek & Destroy, Sesto Sento's Louder and Karetus's Battle Royale, tracks that have circulated through psytrance DJ sets internationally. Their studio releases, spanning collaborations with 40%, Cosmonet and EMI Brazil, have reinforced Paranormal Attack's standing within the global full-on and psychedelic trance touring circuit, where the group's tracks and remixes remain staples for DJs programming high-tempo psytrance sets. Their longevity, stretching back more than two decades, reflects a career built primarily through production and remix work that supports ongoing DJ bookings across the international psytrance festival scene.
