About Paolo Mojo

Paolo Mojo, born Paul Bimson in St Helens, Merseyside and now based in London, is an English DJ whose style crosses house, funk, techno, breaks, electro, disco and acid. He came to wider attention when Pete Tong named him among the year's hottest producers on BBC Radio 1 in 2008, and he went on to record two guest mixes for Tong's Essential Mix series. Paolo Mojo compiled Renaissance Digital 01, billed as the first DJ mix released exclusively through iTunes, and he also put together EQ Recordings' Balance 009, extending his reputation as a selector as much as a producer.

His podcast Ooshcast launched in December 2009 and became a popular recurring download among fans following his sets. In 2011, Pete Tong's Essential Selection playlisted his track “Mmmm Daaa” on Strictly Rhythm, the same year he released the first instalment of his Ten To One mix compilation series. Alongside these mix projects, he has kept a busy international touring schedule, playing clubs and festivals under labels including Sabotage Systems, Saved Records and Renaissance.

His catalogue of mixes, from Renaissance Digital to Ten To One, reflects a DJ career built as much on curation and radio exposure as on original productions.
