Oliver Huntemann
Oliver Huntemann, born 19 June 1968 in Hannover, is an internationally touring German techno DJ who has spent close to three decades on the club and festival circuit. Based in Hamburg, Huntemann founded the techno label Confused Recordings in 1995, which became a central outlet for both his own productions and his DJ sets, and he has also released through Senso Sounds, Ideal Audio and Gigolo Records. His discography includes the albums Paranoia, released in November 2011, and Propaganda, released in October 2017, both on Senso Sounds, records that fed directly into his touring sets during those periods. Huntemann has built a reputation as one of the veteran DJs of the German techno scene, with decodedmagazine describing him as a figure of respect among scene veterans for forging an international DJ and production career from modest beginnings in Germany. His sound draws on techno and electronic music broadly, and his club bookings have taken him across Europe and internationally over a career that began in the 1990s alongside the rise of Hamburg and Berlin as techno hubs, sustaining him as a consistent presence on the global techno touring circuit into the current decade.
